Cornerstone, located on the west end of Good Shepherd's campus in the original Good Shepherd Geriatric Building, was developed in 2001, featuring 46 one-bedroom apartments over three floors. Residents here can enjoy the amenities of being attached to Good Shepherd and close to the downtown area. Cornerstone also offers apartments with a full private bathroom and kitchenette along with three balanced meals each day. Staff is in the building 24 hours a day for resident safety and needs. To be eligible for assisted living, seniors must require assistance with two activities of daily living such as bathing, meals, housekeeping, etc. Cornerstone accepts elderly waiver as a way to make these services affordable to a wider range of people and help people remain independent living.

The Senior Life Solutions program, an intensive group counseling program for individuals over age 65, aims to provide assistance to people who are dealing with emotional or behavioral issues often related to aging. If you or someone you know suffers from any of the following: crying, hopelessness, loneliness, restlessness, sadness, coping with loss, decreased energy, difficulty sleeping, low self-confidence, this program might be right for you.
Following an individual assessment, group participants meet in a supportive, encouraging setting. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, nurses, and other geriatric professionals dedicated to the emotional well-being of the seniors in your community.
PMC created the Senior Life Solutions program in 2003, and it has quickly filled an important community need. Family members, physicians, or other health professionals can refer individuals to the program.

Rock Steady Boxing enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight back against their diagnosis by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness programs to improve their quality-of-life, while increasing mobility, strength and balance. Recent medical studies, including work by Dr. J. Eric Ahlskog at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, indicate that intense exercise programs may be “neuro-protective,” actually working to delay the progression of symptoms.
